Audrey Griffin - Writer and Poet
Audrey Griffin is a young writer and poet from Houston, Texas. She's always been a voracious reader, and lover of music, and at a young age adapted pop songs into short musicals that she would have her cousins perform. Audrey began attending the Writers In The Schools summer workshops in the 3rd grade and continues to this day. She became the only freshman to work on her high school newspaper, where she won several awards. During this time, Audrey also had her music reviews published on the website of a local radio station.
In 2012 Audrey was accepted to HSPVA in their newly formed creative writing program and is currently on the staff of their literary magazine, "Octopus Ink"
In her spare time she reads psychological thrillers and historical nonfiction. Joe Hill, Bukowski, Poe, and Dickinson are among her current favorites.
